Cleanliness in a children’s room is not only about aesthetics, but also about child health. Toys, especially favorite ones, quickly accumulate dust, saliva and street dirt, becoming an ideal breeding ground for bacteria. It is important to choose products that will effectively deal with contaminants, but at the same time will completely safe upon contact with the mouth.
Regular baby soap and water
The simplest and most affordable method for most plastic and rubber products is soap solution. Use bar or liquid baby soap without strong fragrances.

Soak waterproof toys in a bowl of warm water for 15–20 minutes.

Walk through hard-to-reach places old toothbrush.

Rinse thoroughly with running water and dry on a towel.
Baking soda for stubborn stains
If persistent stains or marks from felt-tip pens appear on the plastic, soda slurry. It works as a soft abrasive that does not scratch the surface.

Be sure to put toys in special bag for washing, so as not to damage the accessories (eyes, nose).

Instead of regular powder, it is better to take liquid gel for children’s underwear, as it is easier to wash out of the stuffing.
Handling toys with batteries
Electronic toys should not be submerged in water, so spot cleaning is required.

Soak a cloth in a solution of water and alcohol or use antiseptic wipes.

Wring out the cloth thoroughly – no moisture should get inside the case.

Wipe the surface, paying attention to the buttons and levers.
Disinfection of bath toys
Bath toys often suffer from mold due to constant humidity. To get rid of black plaque inside, use table vinegar.

Make a solution of water and vinegar in a 1:1 ratio.

Place the liquid inside the toy and leave it for several hours, preferably overnight.

After this, shake and rinse the toy thoroughly until the vinegar smell is completely gone.
